Cirque Le Soir Dress Code: What to Wear to Get Past the Door
Cirque Le Soir, on Ganton Street in Soho, is famous for two things: the circus — fire eaters, acrobats, contortionists — and a door that is genuinely selective. Most refusals there are avoidable, and the dress code is the first of them. Here is exactly what it asks for and how to get it right.

Strict smart and stylish. Cirque does not let in trainers, sportswear, shorts, caps or ripped clothing, and the door team looks at the whole group, not just one person. Dress for a show, because that is what the night is.
| Wear | Leave at home |
|---|---|
| Leather shoes, loafers, smart boots, heels | Trainers of any kind |
| Tailored trousers or dark, clean jeans | Ripped or distressed denim, shorts |
| Shirt, smart knit, blazer or a statement dress | Tracksuits, football shirts, hoodies |
| A jacket for the queue | Caps and sportswear |
What to wear: men
- Proper shoes — leather, loafers or Chelsea boots. Trainers are refused.
- Tailored trousers or dark jeans with no rips.
- A shirt or a fine knit; a blazer or a good jacket lifts the look and helps at a busy door.
- No caps. If you wear one on the way, it comes off well before the front.
What to wear: women
- A dress, a jumpsuit or a smart two-piece — the room is theatrical, so a statement piece fits.
- Heels or smart flats you can stand in: the night runs 11pm to 3:30am.
- Jeans only if they are clean and not ripped, with something dressy on top.
- A small bag — the room fills up and the performers work right among the tables.

ID and age
Minimum age is 19+ on Mondays and Wednesdays, the nights we book. Bring valid physical photo ID — a passport or UK driving licence. A photo of your ID on your phone will not be accepted, and the venue reserves the right of admission at all times.
Groups of guys
This is where most nights at Cirque go wrong. Mixed groups are preferred, and all-male groups are frequently refused without a table — however well dressed they are. If you are a group of guys, the dress code gets you considered; the table is what gets you in.
The surest way in
A confirmed VIP table comes with priority entry and a host expecting you, which turns Cirque's door from a maybe into a yes. Arrive on time, dressed to the code, with physical ID ready. Message us with your date and group size and we set it up.
