Shoreditch — XOYO's PARADOX

In East London, Wednesday belongs to PARADOX at XOYO — one of the biggest midweek parties in the city. XOYO is a two-floor electronic institution on Cowper Street by Old Street, open since 2010, and PARADOX fills it with a young, up-for-it crowd for house, electronic and party classics. Soho — Cirque Le Soir

For something completely different, Cirque Le Soir in Soho runs Mondays and Wednesdays — the circus-and-cabaret club with live performers, fire eaters and acrobats and a hip-hop, R&B and commercial soundtrack. The door here is selective and all-male groups are frequently refused without a table, so if you're a group, book one. It's the polished, dressed-up end of a Wednesday, where XOYO is the loose electronic end.
