Dinner and a Club Under One Roof: A Night at Maddox, Mayfair
The best Mayfair nights don't split dinner and dancing across two postcodes. At Maddox, on Mill Street, they happen at the same address: an Italian restaurant upstairs, a club downstairs and a terrace in between. Here's how to make the most of it.
Start with dinner
Book the restaurant first and you've solved the hardest part of a Mayfair night — the transition. You eat, you're already inside, and when the club opens up you move down rather than out. It's the easy plan for birthdays and groups who don't want to lose momentum queuing somewhere new at midnight.
Move to the club
Downstairs runs two rooms: commercial, R&B and hip-hop on one side, house and tech house on the other. It's boutique rather than cavernous, which is the point — the room stays dressed-up and the crowd stays with it. We book Maddox Thursday to Saturday.
