London Nightlife by Area: Soho, Mayfair, St James's, Kensington & Fitzrovia
Central London's nightlife isn't one scene — it's a handful of very different neighbourhoods within a short cab ride of each other. Here's how they break down, and the club we'd book in each.
Soho — spectacle and energy
The loudest, most theatrical corner of the map. Just off Carnaby Street, Cirque Le Soir turns the night into a circus — performers, fire, acrobats — with a hip-hop and commercial soundtrack. Nearest Tube: Oxford Circus or Piccadilly Circus. There's no practical parking in Soho on club nights, so come by Tube, black cab or a ride-hailing app.

Mayfair — polished house rooms
Mayfair is where the smart house crowd goes. Maison Close on Swallow Street is a French-inspired, chandelier-lit house club near Piccadilly Circus; Itzel on Berkeley Street is a small 200-capacity room split between hip-hop in the Main Room and house in the Moon Room, with a taqueria attached. Both are dressy, both reward booking ahead.
St James's — history and intimacy
Quieter, older, more discreet. Scotch of St James, in a courtyard in Mason's Yard, is a piece of sixties history — Hendrix's first London stage — run today as an intimate late-night club. Round the corner on Jermyn Street, Dear Darling works two floors, house upstairs and open-format basement, and is the one venue we sell four nights a week. Nearest Tube: Green Park or Piccadilly Circus.

Kensington & Chelsea — West London's own
You don't need to cross town if you're already west. Gallery on Kensington High Street was named Best New Nightclub 2025 and runs four distinct spaces around a 10-tonne concrete DJ booth. Further south, Paloma on Old Brompton Road (SW7) is strict guest-list-or-table only — no walk-ins — which keeps the room local rather than touristic.

Fitzrovia — the late one
If you want the night to keep going, head to Fitzrovia. Selene on Winsley Street, moments from Oxford Circus, holds the latest licence of any room we book — 6am on Fridays and Saturdays, 4am on Sundays — across four Greek-themed rooms with champagne shows. When everywhere else is winding down at 3:30am, this is where you end up.

Wherever you land, the booking is the same one message. Tell us the area or the club and your date, and we'll sort the table.
